We've worked with a number of mainstream news organizations, columnists, hyperlocal community blogs and small entrepreneurial startups. When exploring these sites, you may notice low activity levels. The Needle is a community hub for Seattle. It's a showcase site for all the latest NewsCloud platform features. For example, we recently began populating The Needle with content from a curated list of Seattle Twitter users. The site is primarily a demonstration site.

Genome Alberta is a Canadian non-governmental organization promoting genetic research. They use their Genomics application on Facebook for outreach and education.

Hot Dish was a climate change news community and contest site for researching the engagement of young people with news inside Facebook. Our news partner was Grist.org.

The Charlotte Observer's Insight application hosted user generated stories and led to some crossover publication in the print newspaper with good success. Ultimately, the organization lacked the resources to manage and promote the community.
